Website Updates: State of MstSage

For the last few months, I have been busy working on the new design for the website. As well as doing live streaming on the MstSage Twitch and YouTube channels with a couple different series. So time for more Website Updates! This morning we launched the updated theme (still with some needed work). However it should be faster load times for the site, better search capabilities as well as better mobile compatibility.

Something I have been pretty terrible about over the years is making sure the website is Mobile Ready. While we pride ourselves on technology, I will be the first to admit I underestimated mobile. Which is funny since I have been also working in the Mobile Phone Industry for the last 5 years or so. From here on out we will make it mobile and desktop ready.

With that, things that will be coming is an actual Games Section (not category). My goal is to have this working similar to an internal Wiki. What this means is we will be able to add games, and on the main page it will show any articles tagged with game name. On top of that we will be able to go further and create guides for said games. If all goes well we may even be able to open it up with User editing as well!

We will also be bringing back the forums here soon. Though more and more people use Discord for instant chat. Which we do have one! Click here to join! All new articles get posted there and our twitter page! Back to the original thought of the forums, the reasoning to bring them back is it’s a way to save information and make it easily searchable. Discord is great but can be a pain to search, so I am of the opinion why not have both.

Now through the next month we will be doing more Streams on both Twitch and YouTube. I will also be writing more gaming, tech and other entertainment articles. I am also hoping to bring in some guest writers as well (it’s a lot of work, working full time and doing all this! hahaha). So expect much more good things, as well as more tweaks to the website. I will try to make to do more website updates each month!
